. . . are the most blogged about people in the world, according to Blogpulse, the Neilsen BuzzMetrics company that tracks over 42 million blogs and their respective entries. Blogpulse's most blogged about people in 2004 were: Bush, John Kerry, Harry Potter, and Britney Spears. In 2005, They were Harry Potter, Bush, Pope John Paul II, and Britney. (2006 results aren't published on the site, I assume Neilsen wants to sell you the report). Any guesses as to who three out of the top 4 people might be on that list? Assuming that this trend continues in 2007, it will have been 4 straight years that Bush, Britney and Potter have ruled the blogosphere. Damn.
Some other interesting stats: about 30% of blog entries are diary-style entries, 3% are about movies & TV, 3% about memes, and about 1% each on sports and politics.
