Startup Radar: Socialmoth

If you've every surfed the best of craigslist and was left wanting more, then you have to check out Socialmoth. This company was founded by Paul McKellar and Evan Levelle, and is funded by Y Combinator. Paul says it was "started as a place to post inside jokes from our weekly dinner parties". Eventually, deep thoughts and insider confessions were being posted as more and more of their friends joined the site.

The social networking component of the site is interesting, in that it's anonymous. To sign-up, you must invite at least 3 friends. Why? - because Socialmoth sends your postings (anonymously) to your friends. Depending on the postings, the debate and guessing-game that ensues is either a very public version of "truth or dare" or a partially-drunken philosophical discussion. Either way, it's great entertainment.
